Being able to exist in the world where we are guaranteed not to be is my aim. My brand can be one of those names that stays. Truthhurts is my alter ego and clothing line. The name came about because it’s about telling the truth and the truth hurts. Making a statement has never been so important to me. There are many items of clothing out but maybe not so many as expressive, real and forward as mine. I am not trying to have a statement not state what it is saying. It's the truth and it could hurt. Most of my captions put on these shirts, hoodies, cups, etc, I made available come from books I also write. Some are simply things I wanted said through my brand. Before I got into selling clothing, I started to write books. I'm an authorpreneurship. That will be the only word that you will see spelled wrong on purpose. I have created my site for those of you who love reading and would like to order books of mine. My story will grow and I hope that you will stay interested in my series as I form a library. I plan on having many chapters until the end. I'm a fictional writer and love my imagination when it's formed into words. Writing has always been something I love to do but when I became an author it wasn't to be a bestseller or for the reasons people publish books. My sole purpose was for my children to have something in the world from me to live on long after I am gone. It will continue to exist well after I existed. It took me some time to want it for other reasons like a bestseller. Since discovering that I am more than an exceptional writer, I'm looking straight past bestseller to movies in theaters. I write in such a way that my characters are already on screen. Please do order my books and support my movement as I look to expand with other merchandise. I have been writing poetry for many years but published my first book in 2015. It starts with poetry for me because it's my first love of literature. The book is called You Don't WALK In My Shoes and I wrote it in poem style because although people like to think that they have your life figured out, they can never understand the size shoe you fit in. I would love to write all genres of literature, all but non- fiction in the future. So far I have published seven books.
You Don't WALK In My Shoes
My poetry talks about rape. It talks about cheating. It talks about love and losing people. It touches on subjects of gay and not fitting in. It talks about shoes that we never fit but watch people live their lives in. It talks about being homeless and the lack of care. It talks about race, racism and our skin. My book talks about real people, real situations and real life. Sex Experiences
This book is a collection of short intimate stories about that certain sex experience that is sure to leave you feeling the heat. Each character differs and brings out a visual that will make you feel like you know their story. Despite the theme, the stories all have one thing in common – a shared first experience in the realm of sex. Each story is about what made it different and what made it stick out as their most memorable. The writing is realistic, relatable and sure to leave you wanting to find out more. It will leave you with a common interest, wanting to experience thee experience but most of all wanting to spill the tea and tell all about what you have read.
50/50: A Collection of Poems
Poetry brings out emotions so maybe this book will touch you. It shows so much variety from a mother and daughter who have different styles of writing when it comes to putting words on paper. Subjects like death, hurt, love and pain relate to everyone at some point in life. This book of tea is so real that even if you're not going through something you read, you will definitely feel it. If you’re a deep thinker it will hit home. It gives you so much flavor you will taste it like it’s “mint.”
Our Feelings Were the Same: A poetry story
It’s funny when you meet and you’re so curious about one another, feelings grow then you are together. The most beautiful feelings you feel as they develop and all you want is to be with the other. Sharing your most intimate and naked self you become one and it started with a like. Interested you both have to like and for the most part love happens overtime. Then arguments and fights, everything can’t be perfect but some manage to hold on real tight. They fight to work it out but when it ends or if it ends for the most part you don’t see that person the same anymore. The friendship is gone and the relationship couldn’t last but you felt the same at one point. The start, the middle and end…the happy, the sad and the hurt in this fictional poetry story.
Child of a Son: I'm Secret: Series Beginning (Volume 1)
My name is Secret, and I begin this chapter. My father wasn’t in the picture, and I had to see how to fit in the picture of his family. I grew up around, but not with, my cousins who all lived together in their home. They could have easily been mistaken for the kids you play with that you just saw on playdates, but we had memories that meant more. My visits were brief when I visited like a visitor. Time didn’t allow me to bond the same when I came and went. When the father that connects you is absent, it’s up to the mother to provide glue with his side of the family for you. I moved and grew up, and that made the distance even further to the point where it was a long-distance relationship. I cared but didn’t care or know them well enough to love them like family members do. I was never blind that I had family, so when a tragedy hit, I was there, and we were put to the test to connect. A family vacation with my estranged family is the start of this series. That means I had to build a home of relationships, which came with drama, emotions, strong opinions, love, and disconnect. Love needed to be the outcome but where you are challenged you face challenges.

You May Not Understand Now But It's Important For Later
Who would have known that thee important things that we try to install in our kids would be something that they should always remember and take and do with them in life. I published this book for a child to understand as they grow to never stop doing those important things.
I have a Bucket List and a Wish List
